School Counselors
Do you know students who…
- are capable of good work but don’t see themselves as “college material”?
- would be the first in their family to attend college?
- should be thinking about college but are not?
- need an extra “push” to consider college?
- want to experience a college environment for free?
For any of these students, Introduction to College Studies (ICS) is a great opportunity. Students experience a college environment and build their skills and confidence for college. And it’s free! Students who successfully complete ICS can apply for a voucher that can be used for a free course at any of the Vermont State Colleges or partnering colleges (pending available funding). View the ICS Schedule.
In addition to Intro to College Studies, there are many pathways for students to get a head start on college through the Vermont State Colleges Dual Enrollment Program. Contact the college admissions office to learn how your students can earn college credit through courses at any of the Vermont State Colleges (Castleton, CCV, Johnson, Lyndon, and Vermont Tech), the University of Vermont, several other colleges in Vermont, and many programs at technical centers.
